Overview:

IRISL Maritime Training Institute  was established on December 22nd, 1989 and presently conducting courses in two centers, namely Tehran and Bushehr Training centers. The Institute maintains ISO9001-2000 QMS certified by Lloyds' Register.

The institute provides undergraduate courses in Marine engineering, Maritime studies and Marine radio-electronics leading to watch-keeping certificates as well as upgrading courses leading to Master, Chief engineer and First class radio-electronics levels. The institute consists of three faculties namely Maritime faculty, Engineering faculty and Electronic faculty in which 30 full time lecturers (Ex Seafarers ) together with 20 part time lecturers are actively involved.

The Institute training facilities include: Ship Handling Simulator, Engine Room Simulator, Radar & ARPA Simulators, Tanker Simulator, Electronic Navigation Laboratory, Seamanship Laboratory, Refrigeration Laboratory, Automatic Control Laboratory, Electronic Laboratory, Language Laboratories, Communications Laboratory, Fire-Fighting Training Facilities, Survival Training Facilities, Engineering Workshop, Diesel Power Plant Workshop.

The Institute also provides range of different Maritime related courses (e.g. Shipping management, Commercial, Port operation, Logistics) for shore staff.
