ABSTRACT

Intensive development of various types of very important and useful regulations and standards in the shipping industry for the last years, in a lot of cases, is not sufficiently coordinated with the quantity and quality of resources to meet them and ensure their proper implementation. This paper presenting the Project sponsored by Nippon Foundation describes some formal approaches in analysis of Human Element impact on safety and security in the shipping industry and MET efficiency.
