The paper researches into the real-time simulated mathematical models as well as typical performance failures and structural faults of auxiliary machinery systems based on reviewing their functions in a broad range of possible applications on board ship. The Human-Machine Interfaces and software programs of Auxiliary Machinery Simulation system are designed. The structure of software and network are described briefly. The paper highlights the applications and functions of Auxiliary Machinery Simulation system in creating responsible and well-educated licensed seafarers by improving engineers and operators’ practical skills.
