Abstract

This article investigates the topic of leadership using a survey questionnaire requesting respondents to identify their leadership profiles. A series of twelve hypotheses are developed; and data are collected and analyzed with the use of t-tests. Respondents assess their leadership profiles differently than their cohorts for three of the four leadership theories tested and assess their leadership profiles as unchanging after a significant professional experience. Implications related to team building, employee morale, recruiting, training and education are drawn from the findings. Keywords: leadership, midshipmen education, survey questionnaire
