Message from the Master of "Sail Training Ship"

Dear our young Colleagues!

I hope that stay in Odesa will be retained in the minds of the IAMU Students and Cadets for a long time.

The training ship "DRUZHBA" is fully employed for holding the IAMU Students' program. The name of our sailing ship "DRUZHBA" is translated into English as FRIENDSHIP. This three mast sailing ship "Druzhba" with length over one hundred meters and total area of sails equal to 3000 square meters was built in 1987 in Poland. For these 20 years the STS "DRUZHBA" visited many countries all over the world. Many cadets from maritime institutions from different country had sea-going practice on board this ship.

The IAMU Students' program will be conducted under the Motto "One Earth - One Crew". During these few days we will try to create one unanimous multi-national crew of the new generation.
