Tianjin University of Technology (TUT) run by Tianjin municipal government was founded in 1981 under the authority of the State Council of China's Central Government. It now has 16,000 students and offers 45 undergraduate programs and 39 graduate programs in mechanical and electronic engineering, computer science and technology, photo electronic information and communication engineering, automation, energy and dynamic engineering, material science and engineering, biotechnology and chemical engineering, environmental and safety engineering, transport and logistics, mathematics and physics, applied economics, art, sociology, foreign languages, etc.
